Humanized Education
HUMANUS:
The Humanized Education Network (Humanus) is a project to train teachers and education managers whose objective is to promote the construction of an educational process centered on the human factor. Thus, the Humanus network offers training and workshops in which humanized education methodologies and practices work.
ABOUT HUMANIZED EDUCATION:
In 1999, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) launched the report “Education: a treasure to be discovered”, which presents the four pillars for education in the new millennium: learning to be, learn to live, learn to live and learn to learn. In this report, the authors develop some issues around education, with a discussion situated on the threshold between the global and the local or, as some sociologists prefer, it is a glocal discussion.
According to UNESCO, institutions of formal and non-formal education should be concerned, from now on, with the construction of social subjects capable of:
a) discover and explore your own strengths and potential (learn to be);
b) achieving their own means of subsistence and building human dignity (learning to live);
c) to develop a sense of respect, empathy, otherness and social awareness (learning to live together);
d) and, finally, in conjunction with formal education, autonomously build and use their own tools, practices and learning content (learn to learn).
Thinking of this as important as urgent demand, Humanus developed Humanized Education, a mixed methodology that consists of combining the most innovative pedagogical tools and practices with the human development methods capable of building the citizens that the 21st century will demand over time.
In this sense, Humanized Education is any process that, placing the human person as the epicenter of the teaching-learning path, rescues the essence of each educational agent, privileging human development and creativity as tools for building solutions, opportunities and connections that no other technology would be able to offer.
